Parents and caregivers are invited to join our 10-week virtual book club where we will be reading and discussingThe Educator’s Experience of Pathological Demand Avoidance: An Illustrated Guide to Pathological Demand Avoidance and Learning by Laura Kerbey and Illustrated by Eliza Fricker. The book provides an introduction to PDA and is followed by PDA-tailored advice on connecting with students and creating an autonomous, spontaneous environment that is individualized; this guide ensures the student can thrive. The suggestions and strategies are supportive for not only educators but caregivers and parents alike. Participants can expect a space to share their own perspectives and experiences and get support for neurodiversity-affirming parenting.
Hosted by Julia Cantone, LCSW, Wing Co-Founder and Vice President and owner of Rising Recovery & Psychotherapy.
